Food, Drinks, Networking & Soccer

It was a full house at Coyote Creek’s annual Customer Appreciation Event Tuesday, as 30 people enjoyed a relaxing evening watching the San Jose Earthquakes take on Spain’s Real Valladolid at Avaya Stadium. We maxed out the allowable head count of our “party deck” at the Audi Club; unfortunately a few people remained on the wait list. The lesson here: Next year, get your RSVP in early!

Doors opened at 5:30 pm for the pre-game festivities. Our suite was right by the field, with a nice combination of traditional stadium seats, high-topped tables and comfortable lounge furniture. This provided an ideal environment to keep everyone comfortable while they mixed and mingled. The dinner buffet – featuring everything from hot dogs to tri tip, with delicious cookies and brownies for dessert – was open from 5:30 until halftime. Beer and other beverages, of course, were served throughout the event.

The sun was shining, there was a pleasant breeze, and the game (although it ended in a tie) was fairly exciting. Guests included Coyote Creek clients, our Channel Manager and a marketing person from Atlassian, and members of the Coyote Creek team.

“It was especially nice to be able to provide this opportunity for clients to network with their peers, talk about what they’re working on, and share tips and opinions,” says Jimmy Areias, Account Executive. “For example, one of the attendees is considering going to Jira Service Desk. This company was able to connect with one of our clients who went with Jira Service Desk last year, to get unbiased thoughts about the pros and cons of this option.”

“From the Coyote Creek perspective,” adds Jay Baltazar, Account Executive, “it’s also great to be able to get to know our clients better as people. Oftentimes much of our contact is via telephone. Or perhaps we do meet in person, but that’s more of a ‘sit in a conference room and stick to the agenda’ type of meeting. While people do talk business at our Customer Appreciation Events, more conversations are about ‘life’ than ‘work.’”

All in all, this year’s Customer Appreciation Event was a huge success. We’re looking forward to next year’s get-together!
